introduction

Being that this is my first entry, I should start by introducing myself. As a designer/photographer/artist for as long as I can remember, it was no surprise that I would gravitate to children's design at the birth of my daughter, Äya. Having grown up with a swiss fashion designer mother, surrounded by her fabrics and paints and a german physicist father who put his love for nature before all, it was only natural that I would stubble upon this career. Currently I work full time for a major lifestyle magazine in NYC and happily reside in Brooklyn with my husband, daughter and 2 cats.
